2017 Spring Quilt Market, Part 2

Windham Fabrics: Natalie Barnes, Felice Regina, Amy Gibson, Crystal Nilpirom

One of the things that we love most about International Quilt Market is having the chance to check in with Aurifil Designers and Industry Partners. We are a diverse community, spread across the globe, which makes regular opportunities to meet in person an absolute delight. Our Creative Director, Erin Sampson, spends much of Market running between partner booths, capturing booth tours, staging informal interviews, and checking in on our new collection releases. It’s exciting and inspiring and thanks to excellent social tools like Facebook Live, we’re able to share the experience with all of you. In fact, we had so many tours this time around that we’ll split them into two posts;).

Our only regret is that we don’t always get to make it to see everyone, so there are a few missing from our tour. Keep an eye on the blog throughout the Summer for another introduction to ALL of our new designers and collections!

WINDHAM FABRICS
Windham Fabrics had a lovely lineup of booths, each boasting countless projects, with everything from collaborative stitching projects, to cats, to Spring Gardens.  Natalie Barnes, Amy Gibson, and Sarah Fielke had new Aurifil collections presenting, but we also had a chance to check out the booths for Annabel Wrigley, Felice Regina, and Janine Vangool.

MODA FABRICS
We were so excited to have a chance visit with a few of our beloved Moda designers! Stacy Iest Hsu, Joanna Figueroa, and Basic Grey had new Aurifil collections presenting, but we also got to say hi to Jane Davidson of Franny & Jane, Sherri McConnell of A Quilting Life, Corey Yoder, and Shannon Gillman Orr.

ANDOVER FABRICS
We toured the booth with Giuseppe Ribaudo, our amazing main man at Andover, stopping to say hello to Alison Glass and Edyta Sitar while also checking out collections and projects for Di Ford-Hall and Kim Schaefer.

ART GALLERY FABRICS
Art Gallery Fabrics Ambassador Mathew Boudreaux of Mister Domestic took us on a grand booth tour, showcasing his in-booth charity stitching, highlighting new collections, and saying hello to designers along the way!

RILEY BLAKE
We started our tour at Riley Blake with Christopher Thompson of The Tattooed Quilter who has collections presenting in August and September. We also took a peek at the new collections by Lori Holt — a new 45-spool box — in addition to a range of other Riley Blake designers.

MICHAEL MILLER FABRICS
Kait Witte of Michael Miller led us on a tour of the Michael Miller booths, featuring Tamara Kate, Sarah Jane, Sandra Clemons, and Susan Emory.

We’ll finish up our Quilt Market recap with some final tours and intros on Tuesday! Happy Sunday all! 🙂
