Showcase Sunday {6.30}

Starting this month we’re changing things up a bit for Showcase Sunday! The last Sunday of the month will be when we feature our Aurifil Artisans and the project they have made for their monthly challenge!

For June we tasked the Artisans to make something using their new Welcome Pack of threads and below are their amazing projects!

Shannon Fraser of Shannon Fraser Designs created these beautiful hand quilted minis using Aurifloss and Aurifil 12wt thread.

Kristin Esser of Simple handmade Everyday stitched up this Modern Farmhouse Pillow using Aurifil 12wt thread.

Laura Piland of Slice of Pi Quilts created three punch needle butterflies in hoops using Aurifil 12wt in #2692, #2265, #4093, and #4225.

Lucy Brennan of Charm About You created her Stitchy Pie needle case with embroidery, a cute way to organise and store your hand sewing needles.

Sherry Shish of Powered by Quilting created a whole cloth mini quilt with free motion lettering.

Amista Baker of Hilltop Custom Designs stitched a raw edge appliqué rainbow panel using Aurifil Monofilament for the first time.

Anne Marshall of Made With Madness made a new hot water bottle cover using Aurifil 40wt thread.

Cassandra Beaver of the Not So Dramatic Life created this modern Mini Quilt mounted to a painter’s canvas.

Heather Black of Quilt-achusetts created her Bird Watching quilt using both 40/3 and 28 wt threads in her longarm.

Ange Hamilton of A Little Patchwork matched each of the threads in her welcome pack to a hexie flower and created this darling little pouch!

We are so excited about all of these gorgeous projects and cannot wait to see what other gorgeous things our Artisans create throughout the year. We hope you found some inspiration to use other weights of Aurifil Thread, and be sure to follow along with all of our talented artisans!
