We are thrilled to announce the opening of applications for our 2022 Aurifil Artisan team!
Now entering into its sixth year, our Artisan team has always been comprised of a remarkable mix of talented quilters and sewists who are active in promoting and sharing their creative passion. We are looking for those magical unicorns who not only take pride in their work and strive for innovation but have managed to harness that creative power in a way that both engages and educates our thriving community.
We’re looking at you — the movers and shakers, community builders, rule-breakers, social media heroes, and education masters. We want to partner to share our common love of thread and all of the wonderful and unique things that can be accomplished with its widespread and creative use.
The Artisan team is open to makers worldwide. It is important to us that the team represents our full community in a way that celebrates its diversity and applauds all the wonderful differences. Aurifil is a family company whose success has been made possible thanks to our team’s diverse mix of genders, religions, races, ages, physical abilities, linguistic differences, socio-economic statuses, and cultural backgrounds. We provide equal opportunities to all applicants and prohibit discrimination and harassment of any type.
Artisans selected for this year’s team will receive an exclusive care package, including a sampling of all our threads. This assortment of threads becomes a fabulous jumping off point to Aurifil thread discovery. After the initial package, we’ll work together throughout the year to make sure that your thread needs are met for projects on a case by case basis.
This year, we’re excited to continue with challenges, showcases, guest posts, social media takeovers, and more. Plus we will partner with a handful of revered industry players to provide additional tools and samples. Artisans are urged to join our private Facebook Group, which offers a wonderful and supportive space to share projects, ask questions, get opinions, and stay up to date with current projects.

We are so excited to meet you all. While we know we will want to work with every single applicant, we do have limited space, and we will need to be selective in this process. Applicants will be evaluated only on the scope of work, social reach, social engagement, and visual presentation.
