What better gift to give a little girl who loves Capybaras than a little heart bag with pink Capybaras on it? This cute fabric is from a new line of fabric called Animal Animal from Ruby Star Society, and I paired it with a lining called roof tiles in colours that matched perfectly with the variegated thread Berrylicious 4647 I received in my Aurifil collection box Rustic Chic.
Aurifil Threads Used: 50wt Berrylicious 4647, fuchsia 4020 top stitching, 6723 Fairy Floss for assembly.

3, 2, 1… SEW! Three colors, two weights, one project. I have to give props to the creative minds at Aurifil that come up with these challenges, because every time I think I know the drill, they toss me another curve ball! Ah, but I love it. I enjoy brainstorming something new and exciting. But I do know to expect one thing: Be ready to spend time on the minutiae! I always end up taking it slow with these which is such a nice change of pace. So without further ado, let me take this in the reverse order; one, two, three: One Project, 2 Weights, 3 Colors.

The beautiful Rustic Chic collection was perfect for my Gathering bag. Using a few different colors to quilt a project gives an interesting and fun addition. I could have used many combinations as this thread collection is also very versatile with all the variegated threads included.
