Dance With Me and a Giveaway!

From Brigitte Bardot to Brigitte Heitland cool, clever, sexy and fun… Dance With Me is out and ready to play!!!!

Who would not want to team up with one of the best designers to create a beautiful Aurifil thread collection to match this brilliant new fabric collection Comma by Brigitte Heitland of Zen Chic for Moda Fabrics.

I was born in Germany, Black forest, and grew up with my three siblings. We were a funny “gang” and my grandma sewed a lot of clothes for us children. I always set down next to her old PFAFF and felt so comfortably.  So I started sewing at the age of six and I hope I mustn’t end before I’ll die :-). When I had to decide which profession or study to choose it had to be something creative and I decided for Interior Design. But more and more I was drawn to all the students in the room next to me acting with needles and thread and so I ended up as a student of Textile Design.

As a Textile Designer I had to create my own line of fabrics. And so I did – it led to my roots of Interior Design:

When developing a fabric or even a design for a quilt the entire impression of a room comes to my mind. I see the light, the furnitures, the color concept, the style and my quilt is a natural element of this scene, fitting in harmoniously. I like clarity in a room, an environment of simplicity where you are surrounded by only the things you really need and love, where you can relax, find your inner peace and balance. So my quilts are kind of this reduced, pure and clear style.

The small pack collection offers with colors of 50wt thread  containing 220yds each.

Colors included :

1231 green

2021 off white

4241 black

5004 slate

1154 orange

1135 yellow

At Market, Alex was able to catch up with Brigitte at her booth and look at all her wonderful art.
 And have a few laughs!
