It’s hard to believe we’ve already arrived at Week 6 of the Dresden Summer Stitch Along! Over the past few months, we’ve stitched, embroidered, and celebrated alongside you, and the creativity you’ve shared has been nothing short of inspiring.

Today, we’re thrilled to release the final two embroidery patterns—the perfect designs to complete your collection of Dresden Plate centers. With these last stitches in place, your quilt is ready to move toward its grand finish.
This Stitch Along has been such a joyful collaboration between Susan Ache (@yardgrl60), Moda Fabrics, and Aurifil. From the timeless Dresden Plate blocks to the delicate hand embroidery, it’s been all about savoring the process and celebrating every stitch.

Well hello again, stitching friends! It’s Susan Ache here (@yardgrl60 on Instagram), and can you believe we’re already at Week 6 of our Dresden Summer Stitch Along? Somehow, the days of summer always seem to fly by faster than any others. I still feel like I just pulled out my first skein of floss for Pattern #1, and here we are, already at the very last set of embroidery designs!

So tell me—how are things going for you? Are you stitching right along with each release, happily crossing them off the list as you go? Or are you taking it slow, collecting the patterns and saving them for cozy Fall evenings when the air gets cooler? Either way is perfect. Some of you may already be looking at your nearly-finished embroidery stack, and others may just be daydreaming about what these pieces will turn into. Both are part of the fun.

Remember—there’s no rule that says this project has to wrap up with summer. If you’re nearing the end, that’s wonderful and exciting. And if you’re pacing yourself so that this becomes your “carry-it-into-Fall” kind of stitching companion, that’s wonderful too. Slow and steady stitches are just as magical as quick finishes.

Now, a little heads up… in two weeks, we’ll be back here for the final Dresden Summer Stitch Along post. That will be our official wrap-up of this fabulous Summer 2025 adventure. But here’s the thing—it doesn’t mean the sharing stops. Please keep posting your progress, your projects, your works-in-progress piles, and your happy finishes. Seeing all of your makes is my favorite part of this whole stitch along. Your creativity is inspiring, and every single project feels like a little bit of magic.
So go ahead and grab your final embroidery downloads below, and keep on stitching in whatever way makes you happiest. I’ll see you back here in two weeks for the big close-out celebration… and until then, know that I’m cheering you on with every single stitch!
Thanks for stitching along with us!
