Thank you again for stitching with us this summer. Here’s to every block, every stitch, and the beautiful community that made this Stitch Along shine! ✨

Hi to all of you who’ve stayed with me the entire summer, and also to our new friends who’ve just joined the stitching party. I’m Susan Ache—yardgrl60 on Instagram if you want to take a quick peek.

Time… it either flies by or stands still, and somewhere in between, curve balls get thrown in to completely knock us off our game. On the first day of summer, we started a stitching project designed just for these months, releasing a new part of the puzzle every two weeks. But here’s the thing—it was never really a puzzle. It was simply some fun stitching you could take along with you or enjoy from your favorite comfy chair. And yes, we also gave you a pretty cool pattern if you wanted to stitch the full quilt.

I get it—priorities happen. You will never be judged here for keeping up, or even for starting. Summer, to me, is meant for a more laid-back approach, without all the heavy expectations of the rest of the year. Plus, it’s always steaming hot in my neck of the woods, and I’d much rather be inside with a stitching project than sweating it out outdoors.

So, with all that said, how many of you printed and played along from the very beginning? Who decided to print it out and hold onto it until the mood struck to stitch? And who tucked the project away for “later,” knowing it’ll be waiting whenever you’re ready? Every one of those answers is the right one. I’ve always said—and always will—that stitching is meant to be fun. There’s no time limit, no wrong way to do it. Stitch at your own pace, change up colors to the ones you love, and most of all, enjoy the process.
