For the past year, Alex has been traveling the United States visiting Official Aurifil Quilt Shops to spend time with the shop owners and quilters themselves to share what makes Aurifil so wonderful! He has designed a lecture that both educates and entertains the participants with behind the scenes video of the Aurifil manufacturing process from conception to the shelves in your local shop. Any chance of him giving the lecture at the UK Festival of Quilts?? Though as the program is already out for 2015, it would probably have to be 2016.

I’ve just returned from four days in Venice, even travelled to Padua for a day, and no Aurifil to be found, anywhere. Really hoping I can find some in New York City next week.
Any suggestions welcomed.

The City Quilter at 133 West 25th St is a “must” for quilters visiting NYC. They have Aurifil and lots of great fabrics.
I love companies that care about the customer enough to want to build a relationship with them. And Aurifil truly cares about customers, wanting to know everything there is about quilters, as well as sewing and embroidery enthusiasts. And, they care about quality. Every spool of Aurifil that I’ve used has always stitched perfectly.

Ann Kelly, It is the goal of the company to keep a relationship with Local Quilt Shops and select Online Shops. Aurifil does not sell to chains and does not sell retail in order not to compete with our Dealers, so definitively yes Aurifil threads are available only by Local Quilt Shops and select Online Shops.
I have to admit that dealing with wholesalers could happen to find Aurifil’s products sometimes scattered in community commerce websites or small unskilled online biz, but we keep search and curb these situations at our best limiting them to merely occasional cases.
I understand what you’re saying in your reply, but it’s not what you said in the original statement. You said, “Aurifil is the only thread available through local quilt shops or select online shops.” Aurifil is NOT the only thread available through local quilt shops. I can buy Mettler, Gutterman, and other brands at quilt shops. Your statement should read, “Aurifil thread is only available through local quilt shops or select online shops.” If you move the word “only,” the meaning of the sentence changes. The revised sentence is true, and says what you meant to say all along.
