Aurifilosophy Goes Global – Welcome Class of 2020!

Greetings fellow thread lovers! I’m Karen L. Miller of Redbird Quilt Co., Master Educator and Program Coordinator for Aurifil’s thread education program, Aurifilosophy. Today I’m thrilled to introduce the Aurifilosophy Class of 2020, enabling the ever so popular program to go global with in-person and virtual events. We couldn’t be more excited to share our expanding team of dynamic, charismatic, and brand loyal designers, artisans, and educators with you.

Aurifilosophy was first introduced in January 2019 to include 21 amazing makers and educators from within the United States. Since the program was so well received in America we set our sights on expanding the depth of the team within and outside of the states and today we’re happy to introduce 14 additional certified Aurifilosophers based in the US, Australia, Canada, and the UK!

In addition to this expansion and in light of current events, we’ve adjusted the program so that  many of our Aurifilosophers are now able to share Aurifilosophy virtually! All the thread knowledge shared directly with you, in the comfort of your own home, in any country, and in any timezone!!

Before we introduce the Class of 2020 let’s share a bit about this extremely popular thread education program.

Aurifilosophy is…
— The search for Knowledge and Truth, especially about the nature and behavior of Aurifil thread.
— A program designed to unlock the mysteries of thread, educate, inspire, and enable all users to achieve brilliant results.

Our team of certified Aurifilosophers share a structured presentation and thread demonstration to cover thread basics, including information on weight and ply, spool positioning, needle recommendations, and tension settings.

They offer helpful tips and tricks while sharing projects and photos aimed to inspire and expand your creative use of Aurifil threads.

Each program attendee receives a spool of thread and other exclusive Aurifil swag!

Aurifilosophy is all the rage with shops, guilds, and groups alike. Aurifilosophers may offer the program as a Lecture & Trunk Show or as a hands-on workshop or class. Be sure to review our complete team of certified Aurifilosophers and contact them to book your in-person or virtual event today!!

Now, let’s meet the Aurifilosophy Class of 2020. This group of 14 wildly talented makers is both creative and inspiring. From quilting to garment making, hand embroidery to sashiko, machine embroidery to fiber art, their specialties are wide-ranging, their styles unique, and their passion for their crafts undeniable.

Simply mouse over each image to view the Aurifilosopher’s name and then click on the name to head to visit our website for more information.

    1. That’s just what I was thinking! And everyone is from an English-speaking country.
      How about some diversity???
